Celine Dion's Doctor Talks Pregnancy Wed, 19-Aug-2009
The exciting news of her second pregnancy broke earlier this week, and now Celine Dions doctor is speaking out, explaining just how the miracle happened.
Dr. Zev Rosenwaks and a team of fertility doctors in New York performed a vitro fertilization procedure that made the 41-year-old singer's pregnancy possible.
The fertility specialist implanted an embryo that had been kept frozen in liquid nitrogen for the past eight years which seems unbelievable, but in actuality, is not a problem.
Rosenwaks explains, "There have been embryos that have been [frozen] for more than 10 years, and even more than 15 years, that have successfully thawed and resulted in a pregnancy.
Of Celine, he added, "There is no question she is ecstatic." |
