Charlize Theron Takes "Battle" to Beverly Hills Tue, 23-Sep-2008 It’s one of the most talked about films in the festival circuit these days, and last night Charlize Theron and Stuart Townsend took their “Battle in Seattle” to Beverly Hills.
The “Italian Job” hottie and her director beau were spotted arriving at the Clarity Theatre for an ultra-exclusive screening of the new film, both looking hot in black as they posed for the paparazzi.
And though she’s definitely struck a social justice chord with “Battle,” Theron doesn’t want to get pigeonholed as an activism-only actress.
She told press, "I'm socially aware in my own life but I definitely don't walk around with an antenna looking for anything specific. It's nice when you can do something where you really truly with every bone in your body believe that there was a wrong in this. What happened in 1999, what happens at these meetings as an organization is not fair.”
She continued, "But I don't want to forget what my job is and I'm an actor and I like to entertain, but if people can walk away with a need to talk and debate that's amazing." |
