Connecticut native, James Coviello began his career in 1987 as a jewelry and hat designer. His ornate hat collection is what gave him substance as a designer and pushed him into the fashion world. His name frequently began appearing in the finest department stores. Coviello's talent was obvious, but we all know that the fashion world is a dog eat dog world. It was Anna Sui who helped Coviello take his designs to the next level and add knitwear to his collection in 1991.
James Coviello has emerged into a budding fashion designer with a flare for accessories. His retro take on turn of the century ideas keep people begging for more. He draws inspiration from 19th to early 20th century antiques, interior design, and architecture. These elements are evident in his vintage inspired hats and clothing.
