Keeping her loved ones at the top of her priority list, Katherine Heigl was spotted out on Saturday picking up family members from her mother's house in Los Feliz.
The "Grey's Anatomy" star proceeded to load up the car before driving and dropping them off at Los Angeles International Airport - giving kisses and hugs all the way around.
After finishing up with her chauffeur duties, the 29-year-old Emmy Award-winning actress and a female friend then ventured off to a private party in Malibu for a relaxing summer afternoon.
Meanwhile, in related news, "Grey's Anatomy" creator Shonda Rhimes recently spoke out on Katherine's decision not to submit her name for Emmy contention this year, which Heigl said was due to the hit show's inability to give her enough good material.
Of this, Rhimes told People magazine, "I didn't feel insulted. When I was told (what Heigl said) I found it surprising. I love and respect Katie as an actress. But she is outspoken."
