Katie Holmes: Uninjured After Car Fire Mon, 27-Jul-2009
Acting isn’t exactly a walk in the park, especially for Katie Holmes - who barely escaped a car fire while on set of “Don’t Be Afraid of the Dark” over the weekend.
The “Dawson’s Creek" darling was in Victoria, Australia filming a scene inside a car when its battery suddenly exploded causing the vehicle to catch fire, according to reports.
Luckily, Holmes, who plays a woman stalked by evil gnomes in the film, was able to escape before attaining any injuries.
“Don’t Be Afraid of the Dark,” which also stars Guy Pearce and Bailee Madison, is expected to hit theaters in 2011. |
