Kelly Clarkson Says “Good Morning America” Fri, 31-Jul-2009 She's in the middle of her All I Ever Wanted North American Tour, and this morning (July 31) Kelly Clarkson gave a wake-up performance on "Good Morning America."
The "Never Again" songstress looked to be in good spirits as she took the stage in New York City's Central Park, even hamming it up with host Sam Champion when she was done singing.
As for the recent controversy surrounding the similarities between her song "Already Gone" and Beyonce's "Halo," Kelly says it's out of her hands.
"It sucks, but it's one of those things I have no control over. I already made my album. At this point, the record company can do whatever they want with it. It's kind of a sh***y situation, but ... you know, you learn."
Songwriter Ryan Tedder (who co-wrote both tracks), denies that he intentionally tried to make similar songs for the ladies. "They are two entirely different songs conceptually, melodically, & lyrically and I would never try to dupe an artist such as Kelly Clarkson or Beyoncé into recording over the same musical track, the idea is both hurtful and absurd."
