Leonardo DiCaprio: Big Green Helper Wed, 25-Mar-2009
With a plethora of acting awards under his belt, Leonardo DiCaprio will be receiving another kind of tribute at this year’s Kids’ Choice Awards.
Nickelodeon has announced that they will be honoring the environmental activist with the first-ever "Big Green Help Award” at the awards ceremony in Los Angeles.
Leo, 34, will be recognized for his dedication as an environmental activist, as well as his inspiring work, which includes directing and producing the award-winning environmental documentary “The 11th Hour”, an eco-focused Web site and a namesake foundation.
Fellow environmentalist, Cameron Diaz, will be presenting the award to Mr. DiCaprio at the show this Saturday (March 28) at 8pm. |
