Leonardo DiCaprio's Attacker Arrested Thu, 2-Jul-2009
Leonardo DiCaprio has met some crazy fans, but that’s not all he’s run into.
In 2005, at a Hollywood party, an ex-girlfriend of a friend attacked the “Titanic” hunk – but now she’s been caught by police.
Aretha Wilson became upset with the star after he walked away from her, then beginning to throw a glass and hit the actor in his head and neck.
The wild attack happened at a fete thrown by producer Rick Salomon, and it caused some pretty big damage to DiCaprio. The heartthrob needed 17 stitches, 10 in his ear and another 7 in his neck. Police did issue a warrant for Wilson one month later for assault with a deadly weapon.
After avoiding being caught for years, she was finally found, after assaulting ex-boyfriend Wyatt Cote. She was given a suspended sentence and two years probation for the assault.
Wilson was arrested in Canada on Monday and now is awaiting extradition in the U.S. |
