Maria Sharapova's Cole Haan Promotions Wed, 25-Mar-2009
Still steering clear of competitive play as she rehabs from injury, Maria Sharapova attended a promotional event for Cole Haan at the CH store at the Village of Merrick Park in Coral Gables, Florida on Wednesday (March 25).
Showing off her long, slender frame, the tennis star toted a "Phoebe" bag while sporting "London Air T-strap" shoes - both of which are available from this season's Cole Haan line available in their retail stores.
"Any time I can give my time, I'm happy to do it," Sharapova said of attending the fan greeting. "The Maria they see on court is very aggressive and in these situations I'm much friendlier.''
Admitting that fans still become nervous when around her, Maria tells, "They get very excited and don't know where anything is. They lose their pens, their cameras."
As for her return to the WTA Tour, Maria explains, "I'm getting over the hump on not having the [same] strength. I hope to be playing again soon." |
