Mel Gibson's DUI Erased from Record Tue, 6-Oct-2009 Getting quite the lucky break, a California judge has erased Mel Gibson's drunk-driving conviction from his record after the actor completed all the terms of his three-year probation.
According to reports, Gibson did not appear at the court, but pleaded no contest to the charges.
The ruling happened after his attorney, Blair Berk, filed a motion on September 21 to dismiss the misdemeanor of his DUI case.
Also involved was regular Alcoholics Anonymous meetings, making public service announcements and $1,300 in fines for his July 2006 incident - where he used prejudice slurs against people of the Jewish faith along with other derogatory comments. |
