Michelle Williams Screens "Wendy and Lucy" Sun, 28-Sep-2008 Stepping out to promote her new movie, Michelle Williams was on-hand for the 46th annual New York Film Festival premiere of "Wendy and Lucy" last night (September 27).
Held at the Ziegfeld Theatre, Michelle happily posed on the red carpet while mingling with director Kelly Reichardt and co-stars Will Patton and Larry Fessenden.
The movie's synopsis, via IMDB, tells: "A woman's life is derailed en route to a potentially lucrative summer job. When her car breaks down, and her dog is taken to the pound, the thin fabric of her financial situation comes apart, and she is led through a series of increasingly dire economic decisions."
Meanwhile, in personal matters, it was recently announced that Michelle became the first donor to the Australians in Film Heath Ledger Scholarship, which "gives recipients up to $10,000, plus travel expenses from Australia to the America, in order to pursue acting stateside."
It has also been announced that Michelle and Heath's daughter, Matilda, will be the sole inheritor of Heath's $20 million estate at the wishes of "The Dark Knight" actor's parents.
"There is no claim,'' Mr Kim Ledger said. "Our family has gifted everything to Matilda.'' |
