Naomi Watts Drops By the Late Show Tue, 10-Feb-2009 In the midst of hectic promotional duties, Naomi Watts paid a visit to the "Late Show with David Letterman" at the Ed Sullivan Theater in New York City on Monday evening (February 9).
The 40-year-old big screen beauty is currently trying to boost interest in her upcoming thriller "The International" - which hits theaters this Friday (February 13).
Talking about her new film, Naomi recently told press, "We didn't want the sort of thriller that was slick and sexy, but didn't ring true. 'The Conversation,' 'Three Days of the Condor,' 'All the President's Men' were the sort of movies we were looking at and talking about before we started."
Explaining that she was drawn to the role because of its real-life application, Watts tells, "That's what appeals to me, things that are about people we can relate to. Because if they ring true to me, I'm sure that they're going to affect others, too. I think that's why we go to the cinema -- to find ourselves in someone else." |
