Uma Thurman's Night of "Motherhood" Thu, 22-Jan-2009 Taking to Park City, Utah as the Sundance Film Festival winds down to its final days, Uma Thurman was all smiles during the premiere of her new movie "Motherhood" on Wednesday night (January 21).
The "Kill Bill" cutie posed alongside a batch of big red balloons, then heading off to greet her co-stars Minnie Driver and Anthony Edwards, as well as the film's writer/director Katherine Dieckmann.
Talking to press on-hand, Dieckmann said, "We just did an interview before this where this guy said, 'You know, I'm really used to seeing Uma as a babe, and when I saw her with a kid on her back, it was kind of a bummer.' And I said, Well, that's called growing up. People change. Sorry."
Meanwhile, Thurman stressed that "Motherhood" will be welcomed by more than just the breeders, saying, "Even if youre not a parent, I think the movie deals with this sense of the passage of time. How do you hang on to the image of yourself you had when you were in your 20s? Where does that self go?" |
